Coaxing Color Back | Becca Luminous Body Perfecting Mousse

Now that the sun is rising and setting early, and even in Houston, TX the thermometer is dropping down deep, and our nearly year round tan lines have faded along with that healthy dose of color we enjoy during warmer months, we need a little “help” when it comes to evening out, and getting glowy, radiant skin on our legs and arms. Because, invariably they will be showing on warmer days, at events, and so on. I love a few different products for this purpose and will chat about one of my favorites, Prtty Peaushun in another post. Keep clicking back.

But today let’s talk about a technical, makeup-artist-blend style product called Becca Luminous Body Perfecting Mousse in Palm Beach. It is a go getter in the blending away any imperfections and looking -way -better-than-I-started department. The formula comes out fairly dark, maybe startlingly dark, but blends in to a buttery touch of sun glow completely. BECCA Luminous Body Perfecting Mousse

It’s quite pretty, too. Bronze-y cocoa colored with small flecks of reflectors, to lend that forgiving light diffusion we can all appreciate in this world of photoshop and filters. It has a scent; to me, not a great scent, and not a bad scent, but the scent mostly disappears once the gel-cream is worked in, so it is not a problem for me.

DV8T1164You do have to blend this into your skin fairly vigorously – that’s what takes it from chocolate to buff on the skin, and also it what seals it into the skin for long wear. All day, all night, it says, and I haven’t tested that; but I did wear it all day, and it didn’t budge. I would also recommend the Beauty Blender Body Blender if you want to make this task a cinch. It’s a big spongey black egg shaped disc that airbrushes the body like the Beauty Blender does the face!

I dig this Becca Body Mousse, as you can see my uneven hands and arms below were rectified by an application:

DV8T1170
Before: Hands lightened by hand treatments + fading arm tan, not so nice.
DV8T1174
After: Even Steven. Like it.

So it’s a great find and a great buy. A little goes a long way, too so I can see the 3.4 oz tube lasting a year or so. Plus it’s only $34. You can message me to order too! We’ll include 3 free Chemistry samples with all orders.
