The three powder formula highlighters that I just keep on reaching for, each with its own distinct look, texture and effect:
Rodial Instaglam Illuminating Powder in 01 (far left): You could safely set your whole face with this if you used a fiber brush or fan brush. Light, effervescent, and just a hint of glow lightening power…it’s perfect on the cheekbones, under brows, an anywhere you want to uplight. And I would buy this, really, I would…just for the amazing packaging, which is buttery leather and silver greatness. Check.
Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Powder in Starlight (middle): Meet your new favorite illuminator, eyeshadow, blush, and just about everything else. Pat in the center of the lip after lipstick for soft yet major volume. And this packaging is on the the discreet and chic side of the spectrum, perfect for keeping in your clutch for that 4pm/9pm pick me up.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Blushed Copper(far right): Ready for a little more, a little coral-copper-brass-patina pop? This shade, can be used as an eyeshadow as well and it g-o-r-g-e-u-s with browns and pinks on the lids. It’s also a perfect flushed just came from the beach blush. Very versatile, very unique in pigment.
Prep before the swatching was with Rouge Bunny Rouge Prelude in The Clouds Aqua Primer , a juicy cream gel primer that lets the pigment grip and makes you skin so soft…lightly smells of pure baby powder florals too. A new love in the primer department…
