The Good (Gold) Stuff from May Lindstrom

I am excited about today’s post because I have been wanting to blog about this product for a long time. It’s a standout formula, one that is super sensual and earthy, but not too herbal … it strikes the perfect balance between luxurious fragrance and natural goodness.

It’s a grounded, elegant version of cocoa butter with the predominant note of cocoa, (never bad in my book) but rose, lavender and ylang ylang also quietly permeate the blend. It is a subtle and nourishing substitute for perfume that will have you happy to enjoy its lingering scent all day long.

DV8T4170The gold color is so pretty too, with the tiniest issue of shimmering flecks that I find highly undetectable once the oil rubbed in – oh and about “rubbed in” part – this is the only oil I have ever used that sinks in the way this one does. I like a good oil slick, don’t get me wrong – but this is not a dry oil, yet there’s nothing slick about it. It completely absorbs into the skin and leaves nothing behind but a healthy, plumped, super-soft glowy layer. The best part – the hydration that ensues lasts and lasts, and twenty four hours later you can still feel the effects of this perfect formula without the use of any strange or unknown chemicals. Only really lovely, great-for-you-and-your-skin-and-the-rest-of- you ingredients that nourish and protect.

Here’s the oils included in this little black bottle:

  • Jojoba Oil
  • Macadamia Nut Oil
  • Olive Oil
  • Plum Kernel Oil
  • Sunflower Oil
  • Seabuckthorn Oil
  • Cocoa Absolute Oil
  • Ylang Ylang Essential Oil
  • Rose Absolute Essential Oil
  • Lavender Essential Oil

May Lindstrom calls it liquid sunshine, and I agree. It’s kind of perfection, bottled.DV8T4167
